i can't wait until october!.....

andrew vachss' 'hard looks', as well as 'another chance to get it right' are going to be reprinted from dark horse comics, with new material from geof darrow.

and to add on to that, his next burke novel, 'only child', will also hit the shelves!

shaun cassidy update!

not one person bid for the 'sean' cassidy strip-searched doll on ebay (as featured on this very sight a few days ago).

what does this mean, you might ask? it means that i have a renewed faith in humanity at this moment.

don't worry, though.....i'm sure to watch cnn later and lose all that faith tomorrow morning......

well...maybe it didn't take until morning.......

long day today....stan is still in the hospital. they pulled out some tissue for a biopsy. he's still waiting for word on wether or not it's cancerous. i'll be visiting him tomorrow night.

on a lighter note, i finally ordered my utilikilt. it's black (of course) and is in the neo-traditional style. in fact, it will look like this:

i'll be wearing it to a friend's wedding in september. i just hope it will be ready in time.

not much else to say at the moment, although an old customer of mine came by and asked about a band called the happy flowers. his description of them sounded intriguing, so i hunted out their website.

i'm pretty sure that i'm going to have to order a copy of their album 'lasterday i was been bad'.

i especially recommend that you check out their discography.

oh......and if you wait patiently for everything to load on their main page, you'll be immersed in a disturbing sound loop from one of their songs (possibly entitled 'mom, i gave the cat some acid').......

Whole Lotta Bubba Goin On....

i was looking for info on the joe lansdale / bruce campbell movie Bubba Ho-Tep. i thought that maybe someone on ebay might be selling posters for it, so i went to ebay and did a search on 'bubba'.

this came up:

i find this quite tragic, yet i laughed so hard that i stopped breathing for a few seconds.

i think i might have to check 'bubba' on ebay regularly.
